Warwickshire
Road
Club

The
Warwickshire
Road
Club
was
founded
in
1924
and
has
been
going
strong
ever
since.
The
Club
has
always
attracted
all
kinds
of
riders.
We've
had
national
champions
and
medal
winners
in
numerous
competitions.
If
you
have
the
competitive
urge,
we
can
cater
for
it
with
a
full
season
of
club
events
on
local
roads.
We
promote
no
less
than
six
open
events,
and
we
have
qualified
coaches
who
are
always
willing
to
help
with
advice
on
racing
and
training.
But
you
don't
have
to
be
a
keen
racing
man
or
woman:
if
you
enjoy
a
potter
in
the
lanes
we'll
be
just
pleased
to
see
you.
And
there
is
no
age
limit
-
we
welcome
anyone
from
13
to
130!
Come
along
to
Wythall
House
on
Tuesday
evening
and
find
out
what
the
club
offers.
Or
ring
Club
Secretary
Mr
?
?
There's
no
need
to
join
straight
away,
but
when
you
make
up
your
mind,
just
fill
in
the
application
form
and
send
it
off.

On
Your
Bike
Exercise
benefits
everyone,
and
the
bicycle
offers
the
best
kind
of
exercise:
it
supports
your
weight
and
you
can
work
as
strenuously
or
as
effortlessly
as
you
wish,
Doctors
recommend
it!
The
modern
bicycle
is
an
ideal
means
of
transport
-
light,
attractive,
durable,
amazingly
cheap
to
buy
and
run,
it's
often
quicker
that
the
car
on
short
urban
trips
-
and
70%
of
all
journeys
are
less
than
five
miles.
The
bicycle
is
green,
too:
it
can
carry
ten
times
its
own
weight
and
you
could
cycle
1600
miles
on
the
energy
from
one
gallon
of
petrol!
Today
the
cyclist
can
make
the
most
of
the
thousands
of
miles
of
well
-
surfaced
traffic
-
free
minor
roads.
Or
you
can
explore
interesting
off
-
road
tracks
on
your
mountain
bike.
And
half
the
new
Sustrans
National
Cycle
Network
will
be
traffic
-
free.
Cycle
sport
today
is
more
varied
than
ever,
with
road
racing,
track
racing,
time
trials,
cyclo
-
cross,
and
mountain
bike
racing.
And
the
sport
always
needs
officials
and
helpers.
There's
no
better
way
of
seeing
the
countryside:
cycling
is
three
times
as
quick
as
walking,
but
slow
enough
for
you
to
take
everything
in.
You
see
things
that
motorists
don't
know
exist.
The
best
way
to
get
the
most
out
of
cycling
is
to
join
the
club.
The
Warwickshire
Road
Club
is
friendly
and
welcoming,
and
caters
for
all
branches
of
cycling.
Come
up
and
see
us
sometime!
