Shirley & Lucas Chess Club
Shirley & Lucas Chess Club meets every Thursday, and for purely social chess, most Mondays. Our venue is Wythall C. A. & Club, Wythall House, Silver Street, Wythall. This is just off the old Alcester Road, near Drake's Cross. We have around 28 members and run 4 teams in various Divisions of the Birmingham & District Chess League. There is an annual club championship, which is open to all. This is generally organized as a Standard Play all-play-all, or a 6 round Swiss tournament.
